I attended the Fredericksburg Indie Book Festival a few weeks ago and was given the Best Exhibit Booth Award! This surprised me. I didn’t even know they gave those out. I beat scores of other authors.
I’ve sometimes wondered if my setup is too much, despite getting a lot of compliments on it, but I guess not! While they didn’t give a reason, here are some highlights:
- Most things are black or deep blue
- Two table runners for the two big series’
- Two on-table bookcases with book cover artwork on them
- A matching back banner
- D&D dice (in a special LOTR bowl), towers, and bags
- Book-themed posters, coasters, and puzzles
- Dragon-shaped bookmarks (though I was actually out of them that day)
- A t-shirt with one of my dragon book covers all over it
