New Talon Book

I’ve mentioned this book longer than I want to admit, but in the past few weeks, I have finally plotted (ore re-plotted) The Screaming Moragul, the next Talon Stormbringer book. It’s the headless horsemen meets Pirates of the Caribbean, though I had the idea it’s based on before those movies.

Like those films, it was inspired partly by the legend of The Flying Dutchman, plus Iron Maiden’s song, “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner,” based on the poem of the same name. I once bought a book of Gustav Dore illustrations that accompanied the poem, and those also influenced this.

The main structure of the whole book is now in place and I just need to work on characters more, then start writing.

I know more of you are awaiting the next book in The Dragon Gate series, but that is next up!
